Amazing Mothers Day Gifts
Amazing
Mothers Day Gifts
Hey Mommas! Mother’s day is right around the
corner (May.14) and we could all use a little gift inspiration for that amazing
mom, mother-in-law, or grandma in our lives. So, this year instead of
getting mom the same old bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates, give mom
something she will not only love, but she will actually use. I have
compiled a list of Mothers day gifts that can be bought or DIYed, so you don't
have to worry about breaking the bank!
"Give Mom a Gift as Amazing as
She is."
1. Carafe- A carafe filled with moms favorite wine is a perfect
gift! If mom is not a wine drinker, you
can always make her some infused water with fruit; which is very refreshing on
a hot day! (I bought the cute flamingo carafe at Target for only $3! If you are crafty you can always buy a carafe
without a picture and personalize it for mom yourself.)
2. Cutting Board- For
the mom who loves to cook, a cutting board is a great gift! Don’t just give mom a plain old cutting board,
personalize it! Burn a design into the
wood or even easier, transfer an already made design onto the cutting board.
3. Gardening Tools- Does mom enjoy gardening?
Buy mom some new gardening tools, and put them into a flower pot that
has been hand painted by you or if you still really want to buy mom some
flowers, put the flowers into the hand painted flower pot.
4. Beach
Gear- If mom likes catching some rays at the beach or taking a
dip at the pool, then fill a cute beach bag or basket with beach essentials;
sunglasses, a towel, sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), a cute hat, and flip flops.
5. Painting
Kit or Painting- If mom is artsy, buy her a small
canvas, some paint and some brushes ( I was able to get the paint, canvas, and
brushes at the dollar store for about $5!), or if you are the artist in the
family then you could paint mom a
picture!
6. Jewelry
Holder-For the mom who has a ton of jewelry and no place to put it
all, make her a jewelry holder. (I made
the jewelry holder seen in the picture for less than $10! I bought the plate and saucer at Goodwill, I
cleaned them up and painted them, and I bought the plastic animal at the craft
store and painted that as well.)
7. String
Art- String art is so fun and easy to do! You can buy a string art kit at the craft
store or you can create your own string art design, then wrap it up and give it
to mom to put on display!
8. Mason Jar
Dessert- Lastly, if you have a mom who has a sweet tooth, make her a
dessert in a jar. The desert shown in
the picture was so simple to make! I
made vanilla pudding (boxed), crushed up some chocolate chip candy cookies and
layered them in the jar until full.
Whatever you decide to get mom for
Mothers day I know she will love it! I
hope you found these gift suggestions helpful.
